1. The vehicle's chassis supports the fuel tank. Most drivers are familiar with this aspect. However, after installing the fuel pump on a tanker truck, we extract power from the engine and install a drive shaft and power take-off (PTO). These two devices require special care during operation; improper operation can render the PTO useless.
2. For fuel pump operation and maintenance, strictly follow the instructions provided with the vehicle.
3. For fuel dispenser operation and maintenance, strictly follow the instructions provided with the vehicle.
4. If fuel is flowing slowly or not at all, check the safety valve and filter. These should be inspected and cleaned regularly.
5. The fuel tank and piping system should be cleaned regularly. Regularly check all connections in the piping system for proper sealing.
6. To ensure cleanliness, the fuel tank and the fuel delivery system should be cleaned regularly. Lubricate the internal and external joints of the fuel delivery hose regularly to ensure easy disassembly and assembly. After each operation on the oil pipe, promptly replace the inlet and outlet end caps (plug caps) and both ends of the oil hose (plug caps) to ensure cleanliness.
7. The oil load should not exceed the rated load capacity (converted according to the oil density).
8. The medium passing through the ball valve should not be too dirty to protect the sealing ring and extend the life of the ball valve. Ball valves should not be operated in a semi-closed or semi-open position for a long time, as this can easily deteriorate the sealing ring. The ball valve handles should be closed during operation.
9. The pump inlet screen should be regularly disassembled and cleaned to prevent oil residue from clogging the filter and affecting flow.
10. The breather valve should be kept clean and in working condition. The spring inside the valve should not be replaced at will to avoid affecting the suction and discharge performance. If the breather valve is blocked, there is a risk of deformation of the tank. 11. To prevent fires on fuel trucks, do not strike the truck components with metal objects if the exhaust pipe or muffler is damaged, if there is oil leakage, or if the conductor is damaged or broken. This will prevent sparks. Firefighting equipment should be readily available on the truck.
12. If the sedimentation tank under the fuel tank is frozen, do not heat it with fire. Instead, use hot steam to thaw it or drive the truck into a heated room to thaw it.
13. Before operating a fuel truck, use a static pole inserted into wet ground. Grounding tape should be grounded. Ensure good static conductivity at all times during operation.
14. Check the fire extinguisher before operating the truck. Fuel truck operators should be familiar with the use of fire extinguishers and inspect and maintain them according to the instructions.
15. Before operating a fuel tanker, check the piping system for leaks, disconnected ground wires, and exhaust pipe damage. Any problems should be corrected before operating the truck.
16. Measuring oil should be done in accordance with relevant regulations. In winter, any water in the self-priming pump must be drained to prevent freezing and rupture. 17. When entering the oil tank for work, ensure good ventilation and have someone outside the tank for protection. If necessary, clean the tank with soapy water before operation.
